Justin Seyster's Sorry Excuse for a Web Page
Welcome to my home on the web! I apologize for the unimpressive design. I am, alas, not a web designer by trade. I am, in fact, a computer scientist or, if nothing else, a computer scientist in training. That means they make me wear a silly looking hat that says "trainee" here at Stony Brook University. I put this page up in order to display some of the cooler stuff I've developed. So far, I've deemed three of these things ready for prime-time. Please have a look, and enjoy!
- The Seystertron - My most recent project, it's my favorite of the Java applets on this page. The Seystertron is a simple digital synthesizer that I wrote as an excersize in learning about Digital Signal Processing (DSP). You can try the applet right away, read a brief explanation of what a synthesizer is or look at the full instruction manual.
- Plasma Fractal - A plasma fractal is a nifty type of fractal that creates psychadelic images. I wrote a small applet that quickly generates pretty plasma fractals. Source is included.
- Alien Wars - A fun applet inspired by the old classic Gorilla that used to come with QBasic compilers.
