The Mercedes Benz SLR McClaren roadster is the ultimate driving machine. The new 2005 coupe produces 617 hp and speeds upwards 200 mph. the staggering sports car built by Mercedes' AMG division is nothing like they ever produced before. they claim their new super machine can reach 60mph in just 3.6 seconds. the astonishing v-8 can produce 500 ft-lbs of torque at around 3000-5000 rpm. but this formula 1 car is nothing to be messed with. Its the first SLR car of this degree since 1955. the sticker price nears $500,000 and they are not available to buy although they are being performance tested around the world. Only four are made right now and South Africa is home to one.
