Music & Tech Gadget Reviews

These tech gadgets are but a few of the many tech gadgets that are out there these days.  I have selected the most relevant for college students because everyone loves tech gadgets and if your are a college student, what better gift to receive - Note to mom & dad: Just in case you were wondering what to get me...

Apple iPod touch

iTouchSleek, but expensive.  Sure the iPod touch looks great and Apple had become somewhat complacent with their offering of iPods after their phenomenal success, but I think they still have missed the boat on this one.  For starters, it has no tuner.  What would it take for Apple to add a tuner to the iPod touch.  Next, I think Apple is being greedy.  They are riding their initial wave of  "technological acceptance" by overcharging now for all their products.  First it was their iphone which later, they embarrassingly had to discount by offering rebate checks, and now the iPod touch.  With a base price of $399 for a basic 16GB of storage - that's about 3,500 songs - and memory costing as little as pennies per GB, the iPod touch is simply an expensive toy from a greedy corporation.  Steve Jobs... make the iPod touch less expensive and regain the throne.  Keep the price and you could end up with another marketing disaster.  I can't wait to study your missteps in business class.  In the end - It's a really just a cool looking toy.

Microsoft Mobile Memory Mouse 8000

Mobile MemoryThe Microsoft Mobile Memory Mouse 8000 absolutely makes this tech gadget list for this year because it's way cool.  The Memory Mouse is small enough to carry around when travelling with your laptop and large enough to be comfortable in your hand without it feeling awkward.  The memory mouse comes with a 1 GB flash transceiver so you can store and transfer files automatically without having to use another USB port.  The mouse connects quickly and easily without any setup and really is a plug n play device, and the best part of it all is the modest $75 price tag which makes this toy, the Microsoft Mobile Memory Mouse a tech gadget that is painless to acquire.
