Day One: Saturday, January 17, 2004
Ok, I finally have time to write this, now that I am a bit removed from the weekend. I will first start off with a basic description of what
happened during the day. Friday I drove up to Peru Vermont after work. I had Alice in my car, and Anne had Patrick in her Jeep. The first thing
is that Anne drives to damn fast. I guess if she gets pulled over she can act all cute to get out of a ticket, but unless the officer is gay,
I am fucked. And I still have a pending moving violation ticket so I can't afford another one just yet. Anyway, we got to Peru around midnight.
We missed the house, and by then it was snowing. Turning around down the street I gave Alice a taste of some doughnuts in my car. We got to the
rented house, and we started making ourselves at home. Not much happened but the rest of the crew showed up in about a half hour. Patrick and
most of the the two other couples work with Anne, so I did not know any of them, but Alice might have met some of them at one point or another.
Anyway, I passed out soon after arriving, since I was beat from working an intense week at work, and then driving up for about 5 hours. The next
morning I was very tired, so I slept through breakfast, and then everyone but Alice left to go skiing. By the time I got up I did not feel like
going to the slopes, so Alice and I walked around the area, basically hiking, and we took photos. Afterwards, we stopped in the country store that
had a nice wood burning stove going. Back at the house I entered, I used my knife to open the door since Anne and company had the only key. We
decided to drive back to Manchester and see what it had to offer. I had to get a few things I had left home like soap. So we drove for about 20
minutes, and got to the town. It was not bad. They had a CVS like store and I was able to get my soap...
