It happened in New Jersey on Route 17 going north at about 2300 (11:00 PM). I was following my friend, and I was exiting off for Route 4. On the exit ramp, an 18 Wheeler decided to cut from the middle of Route 17 to get on the exit ramp, crossing over the white hash lines. He pulled his cab 90 degrees to the road to be able to clear the trailer. I had two options slow down, and get smushed by the trailer, or speed up and pull onto the shoulder to try and get past him. I took the second option. As I passed his cab, I was sure he was going to clip me, that's how close he was. Just as I past him I noticed that my shoulder ended, and I had to get back on the main exit ramp. I applied the brakes to get the speed under control, pulled left, and the tail started fish-tailing, I counter steered several times and I thought I was going to pull it off, but finally the tail came around on the right side to make me face backwards, heading up the exit ramp diagonally backwards. Diagonally across the exit ramp I slammed the curb between a light pole and the guard rail, which were separated by a ten foot section. The car turned 90 deg to the road, and I went over the curb and came back down the 10 ft grassy drop that separated the exit ramp from route 17 all backwards. I came to a stop back on Route 17 in lane 1, 90 deg to the road. I pulled onto the shoulder and got out. I was very lucky. If things had gone any different, I probably, a) would not be here, b) be here, but not the same as before the accident. The car was towed out, and I had about $7K of damage on it. The truck took off, so I have no idea who he was/is. So my no fault covered it.
