    The founding members of NSBE, also known as "The Chicago Six" , include: Stanley Kirtley, Anthony Harris, Brian Harris, George Smith, Edward Coleman and John Logan. They began NSBE, formally known as the Society of Black Engineers out of Purdue University in Indiana.
